| This piece was worked on between 1983 and 1988. It was constructed in clay and plaster. Like the angels of mercy that swoop down from the ambulances of present-day Florence, Misericordia attends to those lying mortally wounded on the field of battle. This piece exists in an edition of nine. A cast of this piece is in Ridgefield, CT. |
