This piece was entirely constructed of positive and negative plaster shards, section by section. The use of reversal sections was a response to the development of the sculpture and in no way was it a formula. Heteira is a Greek courtesan, as well as a species of butterfly. The sculpture is cast in an edition of nine. Casts are in Middleton, DE and Munich, Germany.
